1.Call to order at 9:30 a.m.

2. Move to approve minutes of March 4, 2010. Chris Jeffers moved to approve. Ray Hetherington seconded. Motion passed.

3. There was a discussion of setting up new PCs.  Paul said he was having difficulties with printer drivers since HP is not yet making them available for Windows 7.  There is a Windows 7 driver for the receipt printer.

4. Ray brought a brand new iPad.  He said GVL was thinking of having staff use them in the stacks for roving reference, etc.

5. There was a discussion of installing Envisionware on the new PCs.  Rick said that the JQE and PC Res do NOT work on Vista or Windows 7.  He also said we could call OSL for help installing Print Release and Reservation on the same PC, especially if you use a CBA.  Most agreed that the Staff Print Release and the Client software was easy to install.  The files for Envisionware are on the support ftp site.  On the clients, install LPT1 first and then PC Res to save headaches.  Rick suggested checking the Envisionware forum for a list of the files to back up.  Paul said that if you are upgrading your management console life is easier if you take the old one off the network and give the new one the same IP.  Paul also said he installs LPT1 on OPACs so that patrons can print.

6. Chris said the wireless printing and Envisionware is working well.  She said the support from Envisionware was excellent.

7. Rick will still be able to get USB hard drives for around $80, but they will now have 500 GB instead of 320.

8. Rick said that all the Champlin items have been ordered and the laptops are shipping today or tomorrow.

9. Rick is working on a class for doing sysprep on Windows 7 machines.
