North Kingstown Free Library

In attendance: Barrette, Mike (JOH), Lisa Davis (OSL), Celeste Dyer (CUM), Paul Holliday (CRA), Christine Jeffers (PAW), Georgene Luttmann (COV), Susan Moreland (NKI), Rick Payette (OSL).

I. Call to order - Susan Moreland called the meeting to order at 9:40am.

II. Minutes of the November and December 2007 meetings - Celeste made a motion to accept the minutes of the last two meetings. Mike seconded the motion. Motion passed and minutes were accepted.

III. Deep Freeze Demo - Rick Payette (OSL)

Using VMware and virtual PCs, Rick gave the committee a demo of Deep Freeze including an overview of various features and a live upgrade from version 5 to version 6. Rick noted that the newest version of Deep Freeze uses port 7725, so that port needs to be added as an exemption in the Windows XP firewall. Rick also discussed with the group the issues involved with Windows Vista and ghosting.

IV. Meetings Schedule - Future schedule of meetings was tabled until the next meeting at the Lincoln Public Library on March 6, 2008. Topic for the next meeting will be announced on LIT forum.
